Before I started to design this beer label, I was tasked with designing an entire unique typeface. Once the typeface was designed, I was able to utilize it as the feature typeface in branding of the beer. I kept the overall design simple and elegant to reflect both the nature of the typeface and the prohibition era I was referencing. The influences from the typeface and that era in time helped to inform my design decisions including color, form, and medium. 

 

It was an interesting process to refine my design to the delicate balance between simplicity and lacking. Thankfully, I was able to achieve this balance by creating contrasting forms, overlapping elements, and asymmetry when necessary.
