VOLUNTEER TRIBUTE JOPLIN
This was a design build project that my design studio and I created, fabricated and installed on site. We did this project with the help of Extreme Home makeover in Joplin, Missouri. After they suffered the severe tragedy of a EF5 tornado in May 2011. We did this project in conjunction with Extreme Home Makeover’s “Seven Houses in Seven Days” project to help revitalize the community as well as the individual families.
My studio class was asked to create an outdoor space that could act as a thank you to all of the selfless volunteers who responded to the tragedy.
